Another notice has been issued by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka to members of the public who possess foreign currency on the special currency exchange offer for this month.
The CBSL has outlined various methods in which foreign currency up to 15,000 US dollars could be exchanged or utilized during this festive season.
It previously offered a special incentive of Rs. 10 for the transaction of USD at an exchange rate of Rs. 200.
Meanwhile, the CBSL sold a record 372.35 million USD last month to defend the rupee.
It also bought 61.71 million USD from the domestic foreign exchange market in November, staying as a net seller of foreign exchange for the second consecutive month.
